VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT
Please read the volunteer agreement below prior to signing up for a shift. You will be asked to sign this agreement when you come to work your first shift. Please understand that these guidelines are in place to help make our sale successful. If you have questions or concerns let us know.
SHIFT SIGN-UP & PERKS
Volunteers will work a minimum of one 6 hour shift to shop at the 6:00 Volunteer Pre-Sale. Volunteers working two 6 hour shifts will pay a $5.00 consignor fee, earn 70% of the profit from their sales and shop at the 5:00 Pre-Sale. Volunteers working three 6 hour shifts will have their consignor fee waived, earn 70% of profit from their sales and shop at the 4:00 Pre-Sale. (Two 3 hour shifts= One 6 hour shift / Two barters= One 6 hour shift)
My Sister’s House needs every assigned volunteer to run the sale effectively. By signing this document, you are agreeing to fulfill your pledged obligation to work your assigned shifts.
SHIFT CANCELLATION
Volunteers can log in to their consignor homepage to cancel a work shift or switch to a different shift until the deadline which falls one or two days before the first volunteer shift begins. Deadline for the upcoming sale is March 19, 2012.
After the deadline, volunteers have the following options if they are unable to make their shifts:
1. Find a suitable replacement (friend, husband, parent) to work the shift on your behalf. In this case, the volunteer will receive their full earnings percentage and will receive no penalties toward volunteering for future sales.
2. Email Kate to switch to a different available shift. Shift availability may be limited. If the volunteer contacts us in advance, reschedules and fulfills their new shift time, the volunteer will receive their full earnings percentage and will receive no penalities toward volunteering for future sales.
3. If a volunteer is sick (throwing up, running a fever, CANNOT work), it is still your responsibiliy to get a replacement. If you cannot find a replacement, you will still owe us a 6 hour block of time either later in the sale or after the sale. If this shift is not fulfilled, the volunteer will receive a penalty. PLEASE CONTACT US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO WORK YOUR SHIFT DUE TO ILLNESS.
CONSEQUENCES
In the event a volunteer does not fulfill their obligation or find a suitable replacement, My Sister’s House will deduct 30% off the volunteer’s earnings check and they will not be allowed to volunteer or shop a Volunteer Pre-Sale at a future My Sister’s House consignment sale.
EXPECTATIONS
Volunteers may not bring children with them to work.
Volunteers must be ON TIME and fulfill their entire shift in order to reap the benefits of volunteering and not be penalized.
